Hello all,
I am happy to announce the launch of Twixels.Com, a visual representation of Twitter. The idea behind this site is to provide a visual representation of Twitter with pictures that Twitter users have uploaded to their profile, hence the visual representation of Twitter.
The other idea behind Twixels.Com was to provide a place where the wonderful Twitter community can donate to charity.
I have decided to donate 50% of the proceeds to various charities throughout the year. I finally found a way to get my wife involved with my internet obsession by appointing her administrator of the charity department of this venture. Yes, I finally got her involved, very happy about that. Plus she has always wanted to donate to charity, and now she has the opportunity.
She has chosen St. Jude Children's Hospital to be the recipient of Twixels.Com's first charity to receive a donation. Future donations will be determined at a later date.
The plan is to have the site space completely sold out within 6 months, and you can help by spreading the word, and by sharing this link or visiting the Add This option below. We need everyones help on this, and remember space is limited.
The price for owning your piece of Twixels.com is only $.05USD a pixel, which is only $5 for 100, there is no obligation to purchase space or continue at any time. If you only want to purchase one time great we appreciate your contribution, and value you as a customer. On the other hand if you would like to continue owning your space, you can renew it 45 days after your first purchase date. Billing every 45 days allows for 8 charitable donations a year.
I want to thank you in advance for visiting Twixels.Com and hope you decide to take part in this great idea(I think it's great) so don't wait to get your space because it is limited.
Wait, I'm not done. You see, I envision this being a hub for various Twitter tools via the use of the ever growing number of API's available. In the same breath I would like to request anyone's assistance on this project whom is willing to provide it.
Twixels.Com is currently in need of design work as well as an API ninja. The design is based on the Smarty Template engine.
It would be a great opportunity to help out for a great cause, and it's great exposure for anyone who gets involved. Please use the contact form if you are interested in helping out with the site.
Okay, now I'm done, and thanks for stopping by.
Sincerely,
Joshua Needham
